What is Windham Mountain?

In the winter, it is a world-class, family-oriented ski area with great terrain and amenities. In the spring, summer and fall, the resort hosts weddings and fun events like the East Coast Nationals.

How much does it cost to attend the event?

Parking is $5 per car and includes one ticket on the chair lift that brings racers and spectators up the mountain. Additional lift tickets are available for $5 per day. You can watch races from the base area for free, or by walking up the mountain, but the chair lift will more easily get you to prime locations with great views.

Is there food and drink available at the event?

Yes. We will have souvlaki, chicken and rice, Philadelphia cheesesteak, shiskabob, hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, beer and soft drinks.

Is there anything for kids to do besides watch the races?

The Shimano Kids Race is open to kids under 10 and is a lot of fun. The Windham Mountain Adventure Park, located ¼ mile from the race venue, offers paintball, a skateboard park, a rock climbing wall and a bungee trampoline.

Plattekill Bike Park has 60+ miles of great trails, and is offering camping all week during East Coast Nationals. Riders can come over and practice DH, DS and XC.  Pay one flat rate for the whole week of riding of only $40 per person.  Ride as much as you like for one price, which includes lift access.

Can I bring my dog or other pet?

For safety reasons, pets are not allowed at the race venue.

Is there any nighttime entertainment?

There are several pubs in and around Windham that often offer live music. We are presenting a great band called Johnny Moon & Starz.  They will be playing at the mountain starting at 7pm Saturday night. They play covers of many pop, rock and blues favorites.
